Bad Client Reviews

Allegedly is a peer-to-peer resource created by and for sex workers. Its purpose is harm reduction. By sharing our experiences, we empower each other to make more informed decisions, set firm boundaries, and prioritise our personal safety and well-being.

The goal here is not to punish, shame, or libel but to create awareness of behaviours that may pose a risk to workers.

Community Guidelines & Rules

These rules are designed to protect the person submitting the report, the person being reported, and the website itself. They focus on harm reduction while minimising legal risk.

Community Rules for Bad Client Reviews

1. ZERO Doxxing. Protect Everyone's Privacy.

This is our most important rule. Doxxing means publishing private or identifying information about an individual without their consent. Any report containing this information will be immediately deleted.

❌ DO NOT POST:

  • Full real names (first and last).

  • Specific home or work addresses.

  • Workplace details (e.g., "the CEO of X Company").

  • Vehicle license plate numbers.

  • Personal photos or links to personal social media profiles (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn).

  • Information about their family or friends.

βœ… WHAT YOU CAN POST

(For identification):

  • The username/handle they used on an app or website.

  • A partial phone number. A good practice in New Zealand is redacting the last 3-4 digits (e.g., 027-XXX-12XX). This allows others to check it against a number they have without making it fully public.

  • A general physical description (e.g., "Approx 50s, tall, with a prominent scorpion tattoo on his neck").

  • The general location of the meeting (e.g., "Ponsonby, Auckland" or "Christchurch CBD").

2. Focus on Actions, Not Insults.

Your report must describe the person's behaviour. This provides useful information for others and reduces your legal risk. Avoid name-calling, speculation, or personal attacks.

βœ… DO THIS:

"He refused to pay the agreed-upon rate and became verbally aggressive when I brought it up."

❌ DON'T DO THIS:

"He's a cheap, nasty piece of work."

βœ… DO THIS:

"Client tried to film me without my consent after I had already said no."

❌ DON'T DO THIS:

"This guy is a total creep with no respect."

3. Stick to the Facts.

Describe what happened from your perspective. Report on events as they occurred without adding assumptions about the person's motives or character. Keep your report concise and to the point.

4. No Hate Speech or Abusive Language.

Reports containing racism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, or any other form of hate speech or discriminatory language will be rejected. The goal is to create safety, not to harass or abuse anyone.

5. Keep it Relevant.

Reports must be related to interactions within the context of sex work. This space is not for reporting on personal disagreements unrelated to a booking or session.

6. You Have the Right to Anonymity.

We do not require you to use your real name or work name when submitting a report. The submission form is designed to protect your privacy.

By clicking "submit," you confirm that you have read, understood, and followed all of the rules listed above.

7. Right to Remove Reviews.

MSWI can remove reviews and may not publish every review submitted if they do not meet the guidelines
